WELCOME TO MY BLOG.

I've always had an interest in gardens and in the natural world. I soon realized that these were more than just flowers to me, but people, places, pictures, history, thoughts...
Starting from a detail seen during one of my visits, unexpected worlds come out, sometimes turned to the past, others to the future.

Travel in a Garden invites you to discover them.

Chelsea Flower Show 2013, London.

A week after my visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in London, I’m tidying up all the material I gathered there. On the paper, the lists of plants, designs and explanations reveal intentions and details that I missed during my visit. The attention to the environment, the choice of spontaneous plants combined with clipped hedges, the use of water or the introduction of strong architectural elements are framed in ideas that give to what seemed plain gardens a story and a purpose.
There is no need of explanations for the bold flowers inside the Great Pavillion, instead, neglected in the gardens, they triumphed in the crammed bags hastily carried towards Victoria Station on Saturday afternoon.
I always like the atmosphere, the polite and interested crowd, the bizarre ideas, the unnecessary items, and the abundance of flowers. And, entering the gates without knowing too much.
